Hi there! Mama here.

One week left until the Wednesday evening Grand Blanc Farmers Market begins. We are so excited we're practically bursting; partly because the kitchen is filling up with the sweet smell of fresh-baked granola, and partly because the rest of the house is filling up with market supplies!

We've finished our labeling requirements and have decided how we want the labels to look on our bags. We've got our 10x10 tent and our nifty cash register. We've even got Baby all ready to sit and look cute at the stand, er, I mean, greet customers. We've still got a lot to do before next Wednesday, but slowly and surely we'll get there.

Whether business goes well at the market or not, we know we'll have fun being outside in the community, selling products we love and believe in, and spending time together as a family. Of course we hope it goes well, but if not we'll at least have a few months' worth of delicious treats all to ourselves! ;)

Until next time,

Sweet Home à la Mama

Hi there! Mama here.

So our first big order came in, and Papa & Mama (mostly Papa) helped the delivery man carry in all the goods from the truck. Fifty pounds of flour at a time is no joke! We're not complaining, though...you want to know why?

BECAUSE WE GOT IN AT THE MARKET! WOO HOO! (If you're wondering why this is a big deal, scroll back two entries and you'll see that we weren't entirely sure whether this would become a reality.) We're celebrating by making a big batch of goodies to share with friends. ;)

We talked to the Market Manager earlier this week, and she said we're a go, which means we'll be setting up shop there every Wednesday starting June 6th, from 4-8pm. It's the first year they're trying Wednesday evenings (for food vendors only), so we're just as new at it as they are. We're so excited we can barely contain ourselves (in case you couldn't tell)!

Until next time,

Sweet Home à la Mama
